The architectural challenge of Cox Communication Athletic Center was to provide traditional school spirit referenced in details and materials, accompanied by modern functionality. The resulting design is a sturdy steel and masonry appearance, blended with refined, contemporary details.

The traditional look of the building lends a sense of permanence and tradition to its unique presence in the athletic core of the school. Innovative modern ideas and techniques were provided and integrated into an established background, one which is appreciated and respected by visitors and members of the community.
