Michael D. Barham
Principal - Architect

Mr. Barham has over twenty-nine years of experience and twenty-two years as a principal architect for a full range of building types. He maintains a close involovement in the programming and design phases of all projects. He is known for his ability to translate client requirements into an effective design and for the high quality of construction documents produced by the firm.

As Principal in charge, responsible for overseeing the administrative and technical functions of the project including the preparation of proposals, negotiation fees, and development of agreements. As Project Architect, responsible for overall coordination and direction of projects.

Weldon (Ed) Cunningham
Project Architect

Mr. Cunningham has a Bachelor of Architecture from the Univeristy of Texas at Austin and is a licensed Architect in the state of Texas. He holds a membership in the American Institute of Architects, AIA/Northeast Chapter, Texas Society of Architects, and Texas Community College Teachers Association. He is also a retired professor of Architectural Computer Technologies at Tyler Junior College. Prior to joining Barham Architects, LLC., he was President of Cunningham & Co., Architects in Athens, Texas. As President, he was responsible for the firm's design and construction management. Before Cunningham & Co., Mr. Cunningham gained ten years experience working for firms such as: Craycroft-Lacy, Corgan Associates, and Thompson Associates as a Project Architect. He was responsible for design and construction of Southwest Airlines Corporate Headquarters. Mr. Cunningham was also responsible for production documents on American Airlines SCRO (Southern Consolidated Reservations Office) at DFW International Airport. Mr. Cunningham has had further experience working for engineering firms in South and West Texas, as well as the National Parks Service and the Historic American Building Survey during his career.


Laurie B. Barham
Special Projects Coordinator

As Owner of the firm, Mrs. Barham coordinates marketing, personnel and special projects for the firm. She has, through continuing education opportunities developed skills in Building Code, Energy Code and Accessibility Standards review and is responsible for review of all projects. Additionally, she assists Clients with space planning and finish selections for their projects.

Prior to joining the firm, she managed offices in Tyler and Arlington for Aetna, Inc. During her years with Aetna she managed both Information Technology and Production Units, as well as a variety of business process improvement projects. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma Baptist University.


Patti Baker
CADD Specialist

Patti has worked with us for several years in the past and has recently returned to Tyler and back to our firm. Patti has extensive CAD experience which she applied in home kitchen design while living in the Dallas area.


Rick Johnson
CADD Specialist

Rick has extensive experience in production of Construction Documents. His five years with our firm and his prior experience in Computer Aided Drafting has made him a significant asset.


Misty Hill
Administrative Assistant

Misty provides extensive expertise in the administration and support for each project. Her administrative background serves as a powerful tool in the managing and execution of the firms projects. Prior to joining Barham Architects, LLC, Mrs. Hill was employed in the public/government sector for 5 1/2 years.
